What is Duty Drawback?
Drawback is a refund of excise duty paid to an eligible claimant on the basis that certain conditions and requirements that have been set are met. This is only applicable when eligible excise goods have not been and will not be consumed in the UK.
Duty Drawback Explained
Drawback is the refund of the Customs duties and some fees paid on merchandise that were imported . Customs approve of these refunds only when the imported goods are either exported or destroyed and when a claim for drawback has been lodged. Duty drawback refunds 99% of duties, taxes and fees that are paid on products that are imported if those products, comparable products, or products produced from the imported product are exported within a five year period.
